KIDS CLASSES
Our Jiu-Jitsu academy prides itself on offering the community a flexible and affordable option for families. We are very passionate about BJJ and the benefits it bestows to children. Our children's program will help develop your child's strength, coordination, flexibility and self-defence skills. As well as the physical benefits, BJJ helps build confidence, social skills and mutual respect for peers. We include some striking training for self-defence purposes. This component has NO HEAD CONTACT for safety reasons. Our classes focus on fun and cultivate teamwork and friendship. We have a special rate for PTSD sufferers and domestic violence victims.

KIDS CLASS 4-7YRS
"WOMBATS"
Our Wombats are taught fundamental BJJ for both self defence and sport situations. This consists of takedowns, throws, break falls, holding positions and basic striking techniques. We do not teach this age group submissions for safety reasons unless the child is a tournament competitor. Classes also involve competitive grappling and judo to enable the kids to apply techniques in realistic situations. This class has a strong focus on FUN. The BJJ techniques, warmups and games facilitate strength, agility and coordination development. No lock in contracts, tiered membership options available including casual visits.
KIDS CLASS 8YRS+ "YOWIES"
Our Yowies are taught more advanced BJJ techniques for both self defence and sport situations. This consists of takedowns, throws, break falls, holding positions, submissions and basic striking techniques. Classes also involve competitive grappling and judo to enable the kids to apply techniques in realistic situations. Regular jiu-jitsu training can greatly improve overall fitness, strength, coordination and confidence for children. We also play a variety of active games to ensure the kids have lots of fun and are motivated to continue training. Teenagers usually train with our adults class but this will depend on the size and skill level of the child. No lock in contracts, tiered membership options available including casual visits.
